6. Insurance
Your child is covered by Folksam's sports insurance through Lidingö Gymnastikskola. This provides basic coverage, but each family is still encouraged to review their insurance coverage.
7. Equipment
On the courses Gymnastics basic training, Gymnastics basic training Older, Gymnastics speed, Gymnastics continuation Advanced gymnastics as well as courses at Futura School and Djurgård School, we require a gymnastics leotard/full body (not two-piece). We have several options in our shop for both boys and girls. Long hair must be properly put up with string(s) and barrettes. Avoid tiaras. This is for both instructional and safety reasons.
On other courses, the children should ideally wear a gymnastics suit/full body, otherwise tights and a tight training top. These should not be too big, but as tight as possible. Try at home if the clothes remain on the body when the child is upside down. To be able to see that the movements are performed correctly and for safety during assistance, the clothes must be tight-fitting. It also disturbs the children's concentration if there is unnecessary fabric fluttering around when they do many motor exercises, which affects safety. The same applies to ballet costumes with skirts, which are not suitable for gymnastics training. We also do not want the children to wear shorts, t-shirts or football shirts.
The children are best barefoot in gymnastics, if some kind of shoe is still desired, a thin shoe with a rubber sole (not a leather sole!), model Junior shoe IWA-405 or Elite shoe DMT IWA-503 at
Vera Sport: www.verasport.se.
On the Advanced Gymnastics course, we recommend for independent training a beige half slipper, also the one from Vera Sport: www.verasport.se.
8. Spectators, parents and siblings
We do not allow siblings or other children in the hall.
The Puddle Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics and Micro Gymnastics courses are completed together with a parent or other adult. Twins then need two adults present.
Photography or filming is not permitted unless the head teacher announces otherwise. For example, special permits can be granted for display.
9. Miscellaneous
Lidingö Gymnastikskola reserves the right to change teachers if necessary.
